Open Studio | dMFK

​Bridging the gap from university to practice can seem overwhelming and confusing. The content of your portfolio should reflect a range of skills that are tailored towards a sector, design ethos or niche yet many applicants aren’t able to express this.

​In this Open Studio hosted with dMFK, incoming graduates are invited to identify these skills from their recent university work and translate into a precise portfolio, or gain advice on the layout, composition and design of their application package.

​dMFK is an award-winning architecture studio based in the bustling heart of Fitzrovia. A team of 45(ish) architecture and interior specialists, we are experts in the workplace, residential and contemporary heritage sectors. Our work is driven by a desire to create distinctive, delightful and memorable places unconstrained by convention, aiming to perceptively and beautifully accommodate the changing ways in which we live and work.

​Open Studio is a collaborative workshop series led by Sana Tabassum, creative director of :scale, a platform designed for architecture students wanting to invest in their personal development, learn creative skills and access mentoring.

​She aims to connect young professionals with practices across London to gain an insight into the professional industry and develop their networks.
