Apr. 4: Collage Night ✂️
Slow Night invites non-artists, bad artists, and burnt out creatives for a relaxing collage night where we curate, cut, and paste to our hearts' content! We'll spend the evening exploring this sustainable art form, crafting unique mixed-media creations from upcycled and found paper materials.
As always, we’ll provide all materials: magazines, books, other paper materials and all other supplies you need to create your own artsy assemblage ✨
Come as you are with good vibes and an open mind! We welcome all skill levels, but especially beginners.
What to expect:
✂️ All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own keepsakes to include in your piece. If you want to build your collage in your own notebook or journal, we welcome that too!
🍺🥨 Society Clubhouse’s bar will be open all night with tons of options for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic bevvies, as well as snacks like empanadas, pretzels, and cookies.
🌀 This is an open session without formal instruction, but don't worry, we won't leave you hanging. Facilitators are always available for help and advice, whether you need another pair of eyes on your layout or need a hand gluing something tricky down.
Things to note:
Refunds/cancellations:
Tickets can’t be refunded or exchanged, so please double check dates and be sure you can attend before you reserve. If something comes up and you’re unable to make it, you’re welcome to have a friend attend in your place, just have them give your name when they check in.
Media release:
We may take photos/videos during events for marketing purposes, so you or your work may be recorded. By attending, you confirm that you’re cool with that, and that you won’t hold us (or the companies we partner with) responsible for any damages.
Abandoned artwork:
Any art left behind at the end of the event is considered abandoned. To retain rights under the Copyright Act, please take your art with you or let us know before you go. We will never claim authorship of abandoned artwork, but may use it for marketing, repurpose as source material, etc.
