​Octavia Butler was a prophetic science fiction writer and will serve as our muse for tonight's workshop.

​We'll demonstrate the quickest, cheapest, and most open-source way to work with generative artificial intelligence that will educate you and not leave you reliant on push button commercial services.

• ​How to deploy in a quick and dirty way?

• ​Which are the newest open source models to use?

• ​How to fine tune and clean your data?

• ​What are creative ways to use AI that avoid all the cheesy commercial cliches?

• ​Can we make tools that enhance creativity instead of destroying and commoditizing it?

• ​Can we use AI to connect to make hardware projects (zines, sewing, wearable electronics, talking toys?) inspired by Octavia?

​It's Hardware Hacking Too

​In addition to the workshop we'll have the general hack night, where folks are encouraged to expand into hardware hacking. We have tons of knowledge here and folks willing to help!
