About the Artists
Sudeep Kumar is a Texas-based artist whose vibrant watercolor works explore the dynamic transformation of urban landscapes, particularly the overlooked spaces of construction sites and scaffolds. Through his spontaneous and mindful approach, Kumar captures the energy of growth, connection, and human presence in the changing cityscape.
Kathryn Humphrey is an artist whose mixed media series Ghost Tribe reimagines tribal masks, crafted from upcycled materials. Using a stream-of-consciousness approach, she creates powerful, primal artifacts that transcend time and culture, celebrating humanity’s shared roots and universal spirit.
Roots and Routes invites viewers to reflect on the places we inhabit and the ancestral legacies we carry, creating a dialogue between urban transformation and the timeless echoes of history.
