About Event

An event dedicated to exploring all things AI Engineering!

Event partner: SambaNova Systems

Agenda

β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹πŸ•’ 5:30 pm – 5:35 pm
Welcome and Opening Remarks

β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹πŸŽ€ Marijan Cipcic, Principal Events Manager at Daytona

β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹πŸ•’ 5:35 pm - 5:55 pm
Keynote "Contained Intelligence: Secure Sandboxing for Gen AI Code"

β€‹β€‹πŸŽ€ Toma Puljak, Software Engineer & Developer Advocate at Daytona

Outline:

Generative AI is used every day by millions of developers and vibe coders to generate functions, data processing pipelines, games or entire applications and, realistically, a lot of that code sucks to the point that it sometimes won't even run. The piece that AI Agents need to generate runnable code is access to secure, fast and scalable remote sandboxes.

In this talk, we explore how access to such tools opens up possibilities for, not only running generated code, but for highly parallel workflows such as data analysis or reinforcement learning. We'll explore the technical requirements to build sandboxing tools and how to connect Agents to existing solutions.

β€‹β€‹πŸ•’ 5:55 pm - 6:15 pm
Keynote "Build your first MCP server with Mastra"

β€‹β€‹πŸŽ€ Sam Bhagwat, Founder and CEO at Mastra

Outline:

TBA

β€‹β€‹πŸ•’ 6:15 pm - 6:35 pm
Keynote "Building Low-Latency AI Voice Agents"

β€‹β€‹πŸŽ€ Michael Solati, Developer Advocate at LiveKit

Outline:

Ever notice how some AI voice assistants feel... slow? It turns out making AI talk back in real time is a pretty tough! So what’s the secret? Low latency… We'll dig into using WebRTC for speedy audio, compare different AI model setups (pipeline vs. omni), and figure out how to handle turns and interruptions so the conversation flows smoothly. If you're curious about the engineering behind making AI chat back in real time, join us!

β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹πŸ•’ 6:35 pm – 6:55 pm
Keynote "Open Source AI is Accelerating: Now is the Time to Make the Shift"

β€‹β€‹πŸŽ€ Rachel Bakke, AI Product Manager at SambaNova Systems

Outline:

In the ever evolving AI landscape, organizations are faced with the choice between open-source versus closed-source models. While many developers find it easier to get started in the closed source ecosystem, they quickly realize it is more expensive, inefficient, and doesn’t have the security and controls required for their applications. With the launch of DeepSeek R1 671B in 2025, open source models have quickly caught up to their closed counterparts and now deliver a cheaper and just as accurate solution that provides organizations with the security they need to run their operations.

The pace of the open source community is iterating at speeds that are beyond belief and not only improving the accuracy of these models, but making them run even faster, especially on hardware that is better suited for AI beyond the GPU. With new open source models dropping every week and an active community fine-tuning even better versions daily, open source is making AI a commodity, with a wide range of cloud services for developers to choose from that make it even easier for them to use.

Join Rachel, SambaNova, as he breaks down for attendees the advantages of open-source models, why they are critical for fast product iteration, and how organizations can use them to tap into the best minds globally, accelerate their pace of innovation, and position themselves to shape industry standards while continuously advancing enterprise-grade solutions.

β€‹β€‹πŸ•’ 6:55 pm - 7:05 pm
Demo "Remote Code Execution with Factory's Droids: Transforming Software Development"

β€‹β€‹πŸŽ€ Shashank Sharma, Member of Technical Staff at Factory (remote)

Outline:

Factory's Droids can execute code remotely across both local and remote environments. By leveraging Droids' remote execution capabilities, teams can reduce manual intervention, and speed up development by parallelizing workflows, while the local environment support allows developers to collaborate with Factory's Droids. This allows developers to build, test, and ship multiple features simultaneously, ultimately transforming how teams build software.Β
