About Event
Hegel called Jakob Böhme "the first German philosopher." An uneducated cobbler and Lutheran mystic, Böhme left a profound but largely unnoticed impact on our contemporary religious and philosophical landscape.
For the reading, I'm going to leave the introductory material up to you when and how much you want to read, but we will read and discuss the sections “How we may understand” (57-61) and “Letter to an inquirer” (62-81) for this first session.
Please to come our first session having read the material, and being prepared to share your thoughts with others.
If you'd like to do some additional learning about Böhme, I enjoyed the Hermitix podcast episode with Dr. Aaron French.
