About the Instructor:
Omar Omar is a stage and screen actor who worked with seasoned artists at The George Washington University before earning his BA in Theatre from the American University in Cairo.
He made his onscreen debut as Yasser in the MBC anthology series “Into the Dark,” and went on to appear as Dr. Amr in the popular Ramadan series “Kamel El Adad +1,” as well as Ramzy in “Kol Sana Mara.” In Ramadan 2025, Omar starred as Malek in “Athena,” joining an ensemble cast led by Sawsan Badr, Reham Haggag, and other prominent talents.
In addition to his work as an actor, Omar leads acting workshops at both the American University in Cairo and Luke Lehner Studios, where he shares his passion for performance with the next generation of artists.
Workshop Description:
The Actor’s Craft is an intermediate workshop for actors ready to go beyond the basics and work with more layered scenes, deeper characters, and more specific choices. Building on a foundation of truthful connection, this course blends practical exercises with guided script and character analysis to help you understand your character’s journey and make choices that bring them to life. You’ll work closely with scene partners in a collaborative space that challenges you emotionally, intellectually, and creatively — strengthening your instincts, your confidence, and your craft.

عمر عمر هو ممثل مسرحي وسينمائي عمل مع فنانين مخضرمين في جامعة جورج واشنطن قبل أن يحصل على درجة البكالوريوس في المسرح من الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة.
ظهر لأول مرة على الشاشة بدور "ياسر" في مسلسل الأنثولوجيا على قناة MBC "Into the Dark"، ثم شارك بدور "د. عمرو" في المسلسل الرمضاني الشهير "كامل العدد +1"، وكذلك بدور "رمزي" في "كل سنة مرة". وفي رمضان 2025، لعب دور "مالك" في مسلسل "أثينا" ضمن فريق عمل يضم سوسن بدر، وريهام حجاج، وعددًا من النجوم البارزين.
إلى جانب عمله كممثل، يقود عمر ورش تمثيل في كل من الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة واستوديوهات لوك لهنر، حيث يشارك شغفه بالأداء مع الجيل الجديد من الفنانين.

حرفة الممثل هي ورشة تمثيل لمستوى متوسط موجهة للممثلين المستعدين لتجاوز الأساسيات والعمل على مشاهد أكثر عمقًا، وشخصيات أكثر تعقيدًا، وخيارات تمثيلية أكثر تحديدًا.
استنادًا إلى أساس من التواصل الصادق، تجمع هذه الدورة بين التمارين العملية والتحليل الموجه للنصوص والشخصيات لمساعدتك على فهم رحلة شخصيتك واتخاذ قرارات تجسدها على نحو حي. ستعمل عن قرب مع شريك/شركاء مشاهد في بيئة تعاونية تتحداك على المستويات العاطفية والفكرية والإبداعية — مما يقوي حدسك، وثقتك بنفسك، وحرفتك كممثل.
