WIE Speaker Series with Rebecca Stein
Join us for our first Speaker Series of 2025 with Rebecca Stein, SVP Marketing & Partnerships at National Amusements’ Showcase Cinemas.
During her more than 25-year-career, Rebecca has focused on growing Showcase’s US marketing presence and keeping National Amusements, Inc. of the forefront of the exhibition industry. Most significantly, Rebecca has created and developed programs that have allowed Showcase Cinemas to differentiate themselves from other circuits through special experiences and programming. These outstanding programs include launching the Showcase for GOOD cause-marketing program, resulting in more than $75K for non-profit partners annually. The program also focuses on community programs like Bookwork Wednesdays which has been garnering sold out attendances for more than 20 years.
She has re-envigored Showcase’s Starpass Loyalty with new offerings for members including Rewards Dollars that are film studio sponsored and have allowed for significantly more member sign-up and growth in age range. Rebecca introduced the Popcorn Club (children’s loyalty) more than 20 years ago, the program has remained strong and the only one if its kind in the industry. Studio partners continue to sponsor the program and place great value on the Popcorn Club as a strong path to family marketing. Rebecca has overseen the implementation of the Showcase Subscribe membership programs – which is now seeing good growth again post-covid with special promotional offerings and f&b offerings.
Rebecca has maintained superior studio relationships and created a highly successful studio co-marketing program – including focus on stretching marketing dollars to extend customer react through Starpass Loyalty, overall advertising, and influencer programs. This co-marketing program has given Showcase an advantage in emerging from the pandemic with strong market share even with few theaters in the US.
Rebecca has overseen the marketing launch of many theaters from her earliest days with the openings of College Point, Greenburgh, Patriot Place and Legacy Place to the more recent re-launch of Showcase Cinemas de Lux in Warwick, RI and the significant opening of the Showcase Cinema de Lux in Hanover, MA.
Rebecca has provided oversight of the company’s newly restructured Group Sales offering resulting in significant year-to-year growth with last year exceeding the goal of $2.5 million. Other key initiatives under Rebecca’s purview include: the launch of a revamped social media program, including dedicated content creation teams and a targeted micro-influencer program.
Rebecca is a key part and voice among the company’s leadership team which successfully managed and navigated the company through COVID and other significant decision making. Rebecca has also begun a “best practice” program with NAI global marketing teams in the UK, Brazil, and Argentina.
Additionally, Rebecca has become a respected industry expert and serves regularly on industry panels at Showeast and CinemaCon and she has been recognized with awards including Box Office Magazine’s 40 under 40, Celluloid Junkie’s Top 50 Women in Global Cinema, and most recently the Coca-Cola Empowerment Award at Showeast.
