About Event

As Poughkeepsie and the greater Hudson Valley experience rapid economic shifts, long-standing communities are facing the pressures of rising rents, displacement, and redevelopment. What does gentrification really mean for the people who call this region home? Who benefits from these changes, and who is left behind?

Join the Northern Dutchess NAACP and The Prolific Circle for an engaging panel discussion exploring the past, present, and future of housing in the Hudson Valley. Featuring voices from elected officials, housing developers, and community advocates, this conversation will shed light on the historical roots of redlining, its impact, and people-first solutions for a more equitable and inclusive city.

Following the discussion, we invite you to participate in a Q&A session and continue the conversation at our Midweek Mixer to network, exchange ideas, and connect. Light fare will be served. Cash bar (21+).

This event is free to attend, but RSVP is required.
