Welcome to Cloud Innovators Challenge by Product-LatAm sponsored by Capital One
Over two weeks participants will tackle real-world problems in cloud software engineering, showcasing their skills and creativity.
The challenge will be divided in 3 main parts :
● Solution Design (Entire team)
● Solution Development (Full Stack/Mobile)
● Implementation (DevOps/Architect)
The challenges will be implemented on the AWS Serverless Architecture.
Who can participate?
Talented engineers, developers and technologists of all ages, forming teams of 2-4 members.
Aimed at Full Stack, DevOps, Architects and Mobile engineers who are ready to take on a challenge and demonstrate their expertise.

The Challenge:
Option 1: The Personalized Travel Concierge
Travel card account customers often struggle to maximize their rewards and benefits due to the
overwhelming number of choices and complex booking processes. They lack a personalized tool that proactively suggests tailored travel options based on their preferences and rewards programs, making the planning process time-consuming and inefficient.
Option 2: The Financial Wellness Coach
Banking customers often struggle to achieve their financial goals due to the lack of personalized guidance and overwhelming financial options. They need a user-friendly tool that understands their individual needs, provides tailored recommendations within their existing banking products or offers new ones, and simplifies the journey towards financial wellness.

DevOps AWS or Software Architect:
● Define and deploy CI/CD process for deployment of: microservices, front web, mobile
flutter
● Deploy the microservices solution on K8s
● Use Cloudfront for web
● Deploy the normalization solution to EC2
● Implement Terraform for infrastructure deployment
● Implement cognito for security in microservices
● Implement cloud watch to monitor the solution
● Propose DB deployment (RDS, EC2, Dynamo, Redis, Aurora)
● Implement MSK
● Propose a security component to store CVVs and cards safely
Full Stack:
● Create microservices project in Java with Spring Boot
● Create Python project for data normalization
● Implement front in Ruby - HTML
● Deploy app in Flutter
● Implement a topic in MSK to implement an event (propose event).
