About Event

A safe space for Internationals and locals to connect, reflect, and navigate workplace challenges

New to Berlin? Feeling isolated or unheard at work? Join a warm, judgement-free evening for internationals and locals alike navigating workplace challenges in Berlin. Hosted by experts who have a deep understanding of (German) work culture, as well as navigating and dealing with the corresponding challenges.

Who is it for?

  • International professionals, freelancers, or entrepreneurs who've recently arrived in Berlin as well as locals craving some new connections.

  • Anyone craving a real talk space to vent, laugh, and move forward with others who "get it."

What to expect?

A supportive space to share your challenges from the workplace and to gain new insights for handling them (with a light snack+drink).

Join us for some honest talk to navigate challenges without sugarcoating life’s messier moments.

In this opening edition, our focus lies on the concept of creating comfort, however we’ll navigate future topics according to the group’s needs.

Why should you join?

1. Get insider expertise on Berlin’s workplace quirks
Learn from your hosts who have seen Berlin’s unique work culture and from fellow participants. They’ve helped others navigate cliquey teams, communication gaps, and unspoken office norms—so you’ll leave with strategies to feel less like an outsider.

2. Say the quiet part out loud (without fear)
This isn’t a “just take it with a smile” pep talk. Vent about passive-aggressive Slack messages, decode German directness, or share microaggressions you’ve brushed off - in a room that gets it. No toxic positivity, just real talk about real workplace friction.

3. Build a lifeline, not just LinkedIn connections
Meet others who’ve cried in office bathrooms, survived “probation periods,” and mastered the art of actually taking a sick day. Swap stories, laugh, and walk out with allies who’ll make Berlin’s grind feel less lonely.

Note:
This is not a space for therapy, nevertheless it is a confidential space. Also no pitches, no unsolicited advice-giving, just solidarity.

If you’re experiencing severe mental health issues (like symptoms of anxiety, depression, traumatic responses, etc.), we advise you to seek help in a professional therapeutic setting.
