About Event

About the Event 🌟
Join us for an in-person evening exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping the world of foresight, innovation, and strategy.

With headlines warning of AI taking over jobs, we’ll focus on something more constructive: how can we collaborate with AI to evolve our practice, career paths, and thinking? Together, we’ll reflect on how disruptive technologies are changing industries—and how we can adapt.

✨Featuring a Student Showcase

We’re proud to present a special showcase of student work from the University of Amsterdam’s Executive Program in Management Studies (EPMS). These executive students have explored the future through foresight tools, speculative business models, and multi-agent AI systems—addressing real-world challenges with creative and thoughtful approaches.

This is a chance to celebrate their contributions, offer feedback, and get inspired by the next generation of futures thinkers and strategy designers.

Come get inspired, connect, and exchange ideas with fellow futures-focused minds. 🤝

Agenda
AI & Strategic Foresight invites you into an evening of shared insights and open dialogue. We’ll begin with a trio of lightning talks, each offering a unique perspective on how AI is shaping foresight practices today.

After an introduction by Somendra Narayan, the director of the Amsterdam Digital Transformation Lab (ADTL) and an assistant professor at the Amsterdam Business School (UvA), we will start with the talks.

Speakers include:

  • Jon-Luca de Vries - a doctoral researcher at Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam focusing on strategic approaches to AI integration.

  • Kasper Maes - a futures thinker (verandersignalen.nl) and also works as an innovator at Radboud in'to Languages (Radboud University).

  • Naveen Srivatsav - a policy analyst with a soft spot for applied complexity science to solve wicked problems; he writes irregularly at glyphsandgraphs.com.

From there, we’ll shift into a World Café format—an informal, rotating conversation where participants dive into questions around collaboration with AI, its role in strategic thinking, and the tensions it introduces.

The evening will wrap with a collective reflection, capturing emerging themes, new questions, and ideas to carry forward.
