​Architextures is 5 years old!

​Founded in Glasgow in 2020, Architextures enables a growing community of over 500,000 architects and designers to find, create and download materials.

​To celebrate 5 years of Architextures, we will be sharing our love of materials at a special event taking as its starting point the material traditionally given as a 5th wedding anniversary gift; wood. Said to represent the growth, wisdom and deep roots of a successful union, architects and designers are turning to timber not only as a symbol of resilience and strength but as a way of building a low carbon future.

​Our guest speakers are pioneers in placing materials at the forefront of their practice. Taking timber as our starting point, the evening will celebrate the material world and consider how we can move towards a more sustainable materials palette.
