Abstract
Building financial agent using MCP
This session introduces MCP (Model Context Protocol), a context-driven framework that outperforms traditional APIs by enabling real-time semantic discovery, persistent two-way data flows, with standardized database interactions. We’ll set up an MCP server, deploy a local autonomous financial agent, and demonstrate data ingestion optimization, context-aware tool orchestration, and model invocation-empowering you to build scalable agents that adapt to API changes and cut integration overhead.
The dark side of the MCP servers
Many people advertise on the amazing use of MCP servers, however, not so many share a code of working MCP-based solutions. Are MCP servers actually something new to the community, who has been using function calling for 2 years (released on June 2023).
