About Event

DC Tech Meetup is focused on highlighting innovation and bringing the tech community of DC together - and this month we're focusing on AI!

Every month you'll see product demos from companies based right here in the DMV. No pitches, no sales, just tech. And this month we're hosting a panel with some heavy hitters about AI.

AI has nestled it's way into all of our minds in the tech space, so we're going to see how companies are implementing it to help their business and others. The different ways each company is using AI shows the truly limitless range of what it can do.

We're also bringing more workshops than ever before (3!), and kicking things off 30 minutes earlier than usual with a town hall where we want to hear from YOU about how we can make sure we are leveraging AI responsibly in our community here in DC & beyond.

(Check out the DC Tech and Venture Coalition calendar for additional AI workshops before the meetup)

DC Tech Meetup Agenda:

[5:00pm] Doors Open and Networking

[5:15pm] Town Hall - Balancing AI Opportunity with Responsibility in the Public Sector - SPECIAL EVENT!

Join us early for a community-led discussion on AI with DC's Office of the Chief Technology Officer. We want to hear from you about how you think DC & the larger tech community should be leveraging AI to build a better world for all.

We'll discuss questions like:

  • What does responsible AI look like in the civic sector?

  • What opportunities does DC have to better serve its citizens via AI?

  • And how can we make sure we are implementing AI to build a better world for all?

This town hall will include DC's Office of the Chief Technology Officer and be moderated by Andrew Gamino-Cheong and Gerald Kierce Iturrioz, the cofounders of Trustible. Trustible is a leading technology that helps organizations manage and mitigate AI risk, build trust, and accelerate Responsible AI development

[5:45pm] Town Hall ends, networking
