Deep Learning Computer Vision Practioners' Meetup (In Person)
We are really excited to invite to our next in person Deep Learning Computer Vision Practitioners' Evening taking place in MMC Ventures.
Who are we?
We are a group of data scientists, engineers, academics, and practitioners all working on cutting edge applications of computer vision. We like to meet up regularly to discuss what we are working on, complex issues we are all encountering, share solutions, and generally encourage and inspire each other. This is an invite-only community as we strictly want to keep this to practitioners.
Check out our past events and speakers.
Please sign up as this will be mandatory to attend the event in person. Do cancel if you cannot make it though so we know how many people we need to cater for.
The final speaker list is in progress, but so far includes:
George Mackerron, Mappiness
George is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Sussex, where he teaches Behavioural Economics and PhD quantitative methods, and runs the Mappiness study into in-the-moment happiness. He also maintains some popular open-source projects and provides software development consultancy to tech startups. George will talk about the deep learning models that power the new Mappiness app and are powered by the 250,000 photos already taken by Mappiness users.
Dr. Prashant Aparajeya, Co-founder and CTO, Brarista
Former Award-winning Deep-tech researcher at the Goldsmith University, ex-EF
Greg Schoeninger, Oxen.ai
Oxen helps manage your machine learning datasets so you can replace lines of code with better data. Oxen's team is building solutions based on experience working in NLP and computer vision at Alchemy API, IBM Watson, and more - unlocking experimentation, collaboration, auditability, and the entire data value chain.
