Watercolor for All Levels: Blobs on Blobs on Blobs 2
Blobs on Blobs on Blobs is back for a second round!
Are you new to watercolor, or looking for a supportive space to practice watercolor technique? Come to this workshop and we’ll get into the meditative flow of painting lots of blobs! No, that’s not a technical term, but you can do an amazing amount of skills practice just by painting different types of blobs in various arrangements. Lisa will walk you through some demonstrations, and then there will be ample time for you to paint your own.
If you attended the first Blobs on Blobs on Blobs, I'll repeat some of the exercises from last time, but will also have some new ones to keep things fresh :)
Any experience level is great. Materials are provided — if you have your own, feel free to bring them. Watercolor usually washes out of clothes, but it’s a good idea to wear something you don’t feel precious about.
This event is capped at 6 people, to allow for individualized attention. Registration is sliding scale, $45 and up.
If you have any questions, please contact Lisa!
Age recommendation: The workshop is technically accessible for all ages, but the content is aimed at people who want to work on their skills — which usually isn’t the way younger kids enjoy making art. Also, there is art on display at the studio that is not appropriate for children. But please get in touch if you have questions about kids attending, especially if that’s a deal-breaker for your own ability to attend.
Instructor bio: Lisa Hsia (she/her) is a writer and artist who has been painting in watercolor for about 15 years. She loves experimenting with it and helping other people get comfortable in this magical medium!
