2025 Bayou City Classic 10K & 5K
Bee Abled will be participating in the 2025 Bayou City Classic 10K/5K on Saturday, February 22, 2025!
This is a fun race and look forward to having you join the Bee Abled team. This is a family-friendly, all-inclusive event. EVERYONE can participate. The race distances are 10 kilometers (or 6.2 miles) and 5 kilometers (or 3.1 miles). Proceeds from the Bayou City Classic are donated to the Houston Parks & Recreation Department to improve our city parks and preserve our trees. This non-profit event is organized by the Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA), an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to promote running as a competitive sport and a healthful exercise. The race has donated over $250,000 for the Parks over the previous eight years!
RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
· 6:30AM – Volunteers Arrival Time
· 6:50AM – Arrival Time
· 7:30AM – Group Picture
· 7:50AM – Wheeler 10K Start Time
· 8:00AM – Run/Walk 10K Start Time
· 8:15AM – Wheeler 5K Start Time
· 8:20AM – Run Walk 5K Start Time
We will have our Bee Abled tent set up and will need volunteers running the table.

10K/5K Fees –
· Early (9/16/24 to 1/08/25): $45
· Regular (1/09/25 - 2/21/25): $50
· Race Morning: $55. Must be registered by 7:30 AM to be eligible for awards

1. Athletes:

Athletes can use the code “BEEABLED25” to get $5 off. If you want to get reimbursed, you must forward your email confirmation to info@beeabled.org or gloria@beeabled.org. You will get reimbursed after completion of the race and posting on social media.
- If you wish for Bee Abled to fund and complete your registration, please RSVP in Luma here: If Bee Abled sponsors your race entry and you do not attend, you are required to reimburse Bee Abled back for your race entry.
2. Guides: If you wish to guide for any of the distances, please RSVP in Luma: Please make sure you comment your distance and pace in order to get you paired and registered.
3. Volunteers: We will need volunteers to help set up/take down the tent, tables, chairs, and assist with other various tasks. If you want to volunteer, RSVP in Luma:
PACKET PICKUP: I will be doing a group packet pick up for those registered under Bee Abled. If you register on your own, you will need to email me your email confirmation.
SWAG: All finishers receive a finisher's medal. The first 1500 participants who register receive a high quality, short-sleeved technical shirt bearing the distinctive Bayou City Classic logo designed by local artist and runner April Murphy. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed but preferred sizing will be available at packet pickup on a first-come-first-served basis.
If Bee Abled sponsors your race, you MUST wear your Bee Abled gear on race day and if you're active on social media, post and tag "Bee Abled". This helps us with exposure and with funding so we can continue doing races and other events.
