About Event

A half-day unconference, sharing and shaping ideas for AI policy in the creative industries. We’ll identify and discuss where there is consensus and disagreement on the priorities, detail and overall direction.

What progress has been made in AI policy for the creative industries so far?

What is acceptable and what is not acceptable when it comes to AI use?

What can we live with and what can't we accept?

AI is increasingly offered as a transformative tool for innovation. Investment in these technologies, alongside the UK's sector-based, pro-innovation approach to AI, means that uptake is rapid. However, claims like this require scrutiny. In 2022, the Creative Industries in the UK contributed £126 billion to the UK economy, yet many in the sector feel that they are under threat, with creative workers concerned about automation, exploitation of IP, and the loss of skills.

With a new UK government in place, what are the next steps in AI policy when it comes to the creative industries? RAI UK and Careful Industries invite you to explore this with other creative practitioners, researchers, and industry representatives.
