Front Row Ventures (FRV) is Canada's leading university-focused and student-operated venture capital fund. We are looking to recruit hard-working students who are passionate about the startup/tech/innovation world, and want to make a difference in the lives of student entrepreneurs.
The TLDR: We are launching a new Investment team in Alberta this year! We are recruiting students from all faculties to fill a variety of different roles within our fund. We are hosting an info session to talk about venture capital, how to break into the industry and opportunities at FRV to get involved.

Front Row Ventures is Canada’s leading university-focused and student-operated VC firm with a presence on 20+ university campuses across Canada. We are early-stage and industry-agnostic investors. We back high impact student entrepreneurs with diverse backgrounds and ambitious technology-enabled ideas, regardless of their field of work.
Every year, we select and train 70+ outstanding students with diverse backgrounds from across the country. They review over 800 student-led start-ups and invest $50K checks into the most promising ventures. Over the past 5 years, we have invested in over 50 companies including Nomic Bio, Puzzle Medical Devices and Valence Discovery. Combined, our portfolio has gone on to raise over $200 million in follow-on funding with top tiers investors.
FRV student’s are given the unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in VC while developing professional skills and building out their network. Our variety of teams expose our associates to different areas of VC including deal sourcing, portfolio management, data analysis, marketing and talent management. These skills carry forward into their careers making them highly employable and valuable members of any team, whether they pursue careers in VC or any entrepreneurial spaces. Following their time at FRV, associates have gone on to have successful careers not just as VCs, but founders, consultants, engineers in startups and more.
