About Event

It’s time to move your body and make some new friends by participating in The Women's Social Club's Weekly Walks!

Each walk will start with a quick icebreaker so everyone has a chance to connect, and then we’ll enjoy some joyful movement along the walking paths of Raleigh. Don’t miss this opportunity to get some fresh air and new connections at the same time!

This walk series will be led by WSC Member, Melissa Thornton, and you can reach out to her directly at melissa.thornton09@gmail.com or here on chat to receive her cell phone number to have on-hand if needed.

Saturday, March 25: 9:30 - 10:30 am Shelley Lake Park 1400 W. Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27612

Sunday, April 2: 4:00 - 5:00 pm Fred G. Bond Metro Park. 801 High House Rd. in Cary 27513

Exact meeting and parking location: There are multiple entrances to this park, so the one you are going to want to go to is across from Genesis Methodist Church (850 High House). Depending on what way you come, you will be turning onto Maury Odell PL. You will see the cary senior center on your right, and continue on straight until you get to a stop sign at the street: Metro Park Dr. You will make a left to go to the park community center’s parking lot. We will be meeting in the field directly across from the community center parking lot. The address for the community center is 150 Metro Park Dr.

Monday, April 17: 5:30 - 6:30 pm NC Museum of Art (We will meet at the Smokestack, recommend parking just off of Blue Ridge Road) 2110 Blue Ridge Rd, Raleigh, NC 27607

Saturday, May 6: 9:30 - 10:30 am Shelley Lake Park 1400 W. Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27612

Monday, May 15: 5:30 - 6:30 pm Lake Lynn Park 7921 Ray Road, Raleigh, NC 27613 (We will be meeting in front of the Lake Lynn Community Center)
