About Event

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is only open to the NYU Community (active students, staff, and faculty). Use your nyu.edu email during registration. Thank you!

Interested in learning how Arduino's can utilize radio communication as a transceiver and receiver over a network? This in-person workshop will introduce the reasons why wireless transmission is used in projects, as well as describe a number of different methods of using wireless communication with an Arduino. We will discuss what materials are needed to work with each transmission method and how to apply this technology to future projects. Participants will have an opportunity to analyze the XBee protocol in depth to fully configure and demonstrate wireless communication between two Arduinos.

If you would like to follow along in this workshop, you will need to download the Arduino IDE at https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software. You will also need an Arduino with at least one XBee.

This workshop will take place in-person at the NYU MakerSpace. Looking forward to seeing you here!
