Seattle Cake Picnic π
βCake is never a mistake, so let's eat some (or a lot). π
βInspired by @saltedrye who hosts the most extravagant cake picnics in NY and LA, Club Cascadia brings you a Seattle Cake Picnic Event!
βπ Date: Sunday, January 26
ββ° Time: 12:00-2:00 PM
βπͺ Doors Open at 11:30 AM
βCake serving will start promptly at 12:30. Please plan to arrive between 11-12 to drop off/set up your cake, grab a beverage, and mingle.
ββ Rules & Logistics
β NO CAKE NO ENTRY - no spectators. Only bakers. 1:1 cake to human ratio.
βHowever, if you so desire, you can bring more than 1 cake. You can bring 1000 cakes! But each person attending must register via Luma, have paid the entry fee AND bring (at least 1) of their own cakes.
βWHAT SIZE CAKE SHOULD YOU BRING - cakes must be at least 6" in diameter to ensure there are enough slices for everyone.
βTry to bring a cake large enough for the amount of cakes you want to try. Example if you want 12 pieces of cake, make sure you bring a cake that would serve at least 12 slices.
βWHAT FLAVOR CAKE SHOULD I BRING? - Any! Sweet, savory, whatever you like as long as it's cake.
βPlease try to explore with flavors.
βDOES THE CAKE HAVE TO BE HOMEMADE? - YES!
βIdeally you will bring a cake that is made FROM SCRATCH and not using a box.
βIf you want to purchase a cake and patron a local baker, who are we to know (but grab a business card or two just in case).
βNO VARIATIONS - Sorry but no cupcakes, no mini cakes, no pies. Only a proper cake will do (you can go fancy with an Ice Cream cake but it's gotta be official cake size).
βDOES MY CAKE HAVE TO BE AESTHETIC - Yes, time to get artsy with icing and sprinkles.
βIt doesn't have to be objectively beautiful, but it does have to show effort in decor. Take inspiration from Pinterest and Cake Picnics past and get creative!
βNUTS & ALLERGIES - You can bring a cake with ANY flavor, but please be sure to make hosts and fellow attendees aware if your cake contains nuts or common allergens.
βHosts will have limited table tents for labeling cake flavors so as a backup, please bring your own notecard with ingredients JUST IN CASE.
βWHAT ALL SHOULD I BRING - 1 whole cake, cake server/knife, ingredient notecard, and your entry ticket (Luma Registration). Please note that you can not enter the event without all 3 of these things.
βARRIVE ON TIME - As all cakes need to be lined up and labeled, it is IMPERATIVE that you arrive ON TIME to this event. After that, you can go as you please.
β
βππΌπΊπ» Who Is This Event For

β
βπ¨ Registration RSVP & Communication
βββEvent reminders will be sent out the week of the event.
βββPlease join the group chat (or leave chat if you're no longer attending event). This will be the best place for communicating any event details, coordinating carpools, etc.
