Prof. Charles Eesley
Associate Professor and W.M. Keck Foundation Faculty Scholar in the Department of Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University. As part of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program, his research focuses on the role of the institutional and university environment in high-growth, technology entrepreneurship. His research focuses on rethinking how the educational and policy environment shapes the economic and entrepreneurial impact of university alumni. His field research spans China, Japan, Chile, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Thailand and Silicon Valley and has received awards from the Schulze Foundation, the Technical University of Munich, and the Kauffman Foundation. He is a faculty affiliate at the Stanford Center for International Development, the Woods Institute for the Environment and the Stanford King Center on Global Development. He is also a member of the Editorial Board for the Strategic Management Journal. Before joining Stanford, Prof. Eesley completed his Ph.D. at the M.I.T. Sloan School of Management.
Mr. Patrick Cheung
Founding Partner of ZWC Partners, a successful serial entrepreneur turned seasoned investor. Patrick's entrepreneurial journey began in 1999 when he founded UR Photo, later acquired by China Hong Kong Photo Group. In 2002, He also founded OOH Media Network Group in Shanghai, which merged with Focus Media Group in mid-2007. Patrick graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is an alumnus of China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Global CEO Program, Harvard Business School Global CEO Program for China and Entrepreneur Fellows Program, Tsinghua SEM. Besides this, Patrick is a visiting scholar at Stanford University.
Dr. Frank Ng
Associate Director at Centre for Entrepreneurship. With extensive experience in entrepreneurship, Dr. Ng has successfully led numerous entrepreneurship competitions, incubation programs, executive training initiatives, and entrepreneurship education programs. His research interests revolve around entrepreneurship, strategic management, international business, and corporate governance. In particular, he focuses on investigating the influence of institutional environments on firm strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurial activities. Dr. Ng holds a PhD and a BBA in Management from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Mr. Raymond Wong
Head of Investment, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), manages the HKSTP Corporate Venture Fund and Investment & Business Support departments. He has over 20 years of extensive financial services experience in capital investment, portfolio management, mergers and acquisition as well as strategic investment across different sectors in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to HKSTP, Raymond was the Principal in HPEF Capital Partners which is an ex-HSBC private equity firm. Prior to HSBC, Raymond worked in the capital investment and investment banking divisions of ABN AMRO Bank. Previously, he had software development experience at IBM Laboratory in Toronto, Canada. Raymond obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science (Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing) from University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Columbia Business School, New York.
