|| THEM FLYING MONKEYS ||
Os Them Flying Monkeys são uma banda de rock alternativo, de Sintra, criada por 5 amigos de longa data: Diogo Sá (guitarrista), Francisco Dias Pereira (teclista), Hugo Luzio (baterista), João Tomázio (baixista) e Luís Judícibus (guitarrista e vocalista).
Atualmente encontram-se agora a gravar o seu terceiro LP, com data de lançamento prevista para Abril, onde aliam o seu lado mais robusto e explosivo à exploração de novos elementos eletrónicos na sua instrumentação.
Os frutos deste trabalho fazem já ouvir-se em "Next Emma Stone" e "Great Song", os dois primeiros singles de antecipação deste disco, que levaram a banda a atuar no festival Sobe à Vila, no Vodafone Paredes de Coura, e que a acompanhará na tour nacional de clubes que realizará no decorrer do presente ano.

"A Marquise surge no país das morgadinhas, da tradição dos pavimentos melódicos dos anos 90, das baixelas marteladas e pratos ondulados pelo vento. Tudo começa por M nos canaviais do rock que Júlio Dinis sonhou, onde meninas bonitas usem pedais de distorção e criticam ideais liberais - Marquise é Mafalda, Matias e Miguel vezes dois, como quem se olha ao espelho-elho-elho.
Música de quem kurte o Cobain, a piscar o olho aos génios suicidas de eras feitas à mão, com uma voz feminina capaz de os trazer novamente à vida. Em Seattle chovia o ano todo e os músicos fechavam-se na garagem a tocar. A Marquise queria ser uma varanda no Porto, mas taparam-lhe o ar livre.
Agora, munida de garganta, baquetas e palhetas, ataca ferozmente as paredes para se dar a conhecer ao mundo. As canções estão a bater com força abram-lhe uma janela" - Daniel Catarino

The Them Flying Monkeys are an alternative rock band from Sintra, formed by 5 longtime friends: Diogo Sá (guitarist), Francisco Dias Pereira (keyboardist), Hugo Luzio (drummer), João Tomázio (bassist), and Luís Judícibus (guitarist and vocalist).
They are currently recording their third LP, scheduled for release in April, where they combine their more robust and explosive side with the exploration of new electronic elements in their instrumentation.
The fruits of this work are already heard in "Next Emma Stone" and "Great Song", the first two singles anticipating this album, which led the band to perform at the Sobe à Vila festival, at Vodafone Paredes de Coura, and which will accompany them on the national club tour they will undertake throughout this year.

"Marquise emerges in the land of the ladies of the manor, from the tradition of melodic pavements of the 90s, of hammered silverware and plates rippled by the wind. Everything begins with M in the sugarcane fields of the rock that Júlio Dinis dreamed of, where beautiful girls use distortion pedals and criticize liberal ideals - Marquise is Mafalda, Matias, and two Miguels, like looking at oneself in the mirror-mirror-mirror.
Music for those who dig Cobain, winking at the suicidal geniuses of handmade eras, with a female voice capable of bringing them back to life. In Seattle, it rained all year round, and musicians locked themselves in the garage to play. Marquise wanted to be a balcony in Porto, but they covered up her open air.
