Impactful connections - Emerging Futures
Networking is an essential ingredient in any successful business. However, it can be time-consuming and even awkward.
At IMMA Collective, we do things differently. Instead of enduring endless one-on-ones and unstructured networking events, we're creating intentional moments for reflection and connection.
Our aim is to provide a structured, introvert-friendly space that allows people to network in meaningful ways around the topic of emerging futures.
Who is it for?
This event brings together independent consultants and those at the start of their freelance journey who have a focus and interest in emerging futures.
How is it structured?
We will kick off the event with an insightful discussion about emerging futures and speak with IMMA member and special guest Eliza Yvette Esquivel, who will demonstrate what it is like to work in that space.
Afterward, participants will delve deeper into the topic in breakout rooms. Prompts will be provided to aid in shaping the conversations. Some sample questions for thoughtful discussion include:
What future(s) are you currently enabling through your work?
What future(s) would you like to enable?
How can you influence, collaborate or create those futures?
More about our guest speaker:
Eliza Yvette Esquivel is a strategist and leadership coach specializing in future forecasting who empowers visionaries to use imagination and collaboration to shape transformative strategies for Protopian futures.
You can expect to learn from Eliza about the importance of seeing the future through a progressive lens and discuss how to create intergenerational solidarity by involving more youth in future-visioning.
You will leave with…
Insights into the space and new connections that you can follow up with after the event to stay in touch, explore potential collaborations, or become accountability buddies. That's what we've heard from those who attended, along with praises like:
"Great to connect with different experts and learn from their experience, as well as others facing similar challenges."
Networking can be tough, but it doesn't have to be.
