​Join us at Fifty Years’ HQ for an evening of lightning talks, food, and great conversations to connect with brilliant scientists, engineers, and founders and explore the edges of what is scientifically and technologically possible.

​Many of society’s most important advances have stemmed from those with the foresight to pursue technologies most believed to be unattainable. Conversations tonight might shape research fields where increased funding and talent could drive massive positive change. 

​We’ll kick off the evening with lightning talks followed by nourishing food and great conversations amongst other brilliant minds in the room.

​Launched with an initial budget of £800M, ARIA is a UK R&D funding agency created to unlock technological breakthroughs at the edge of the possible. ARIA Programme Directors (PDs) have unique independence to shape and lead high-impact R&D programs with a budget of ≈£50M each. From September 2024 ARIA is recruiting a new cohort of PDs who will identify critical global challenges, build a team around a shared vision, and drive technological breakthroughs to address them.
