​#RaiseTheGame, Digital Schoolhouse and Included Games would love to invite you to our afternoon networking mixer event in celebration of International Day Of The Girl.

​This year’s Day Of The Girl theme is ‘Girls’ vision for the future’. This year’s theme conveys both the need for urgent action and persistent hope, driven by the power of girls’ voices and vision for the future - which both Digital Schoolhouse & #RaiseTheGame recognise an importance to amplify for girls considering a career in games and/or creative digital works.

​In alignment with this theme, the mixer will focus on connecting female students from Digital Schoolhouse networks with industry professionals in a safe and relaxed environment to convey their hopes for a future career in games, building on soft skills that will benefit them regardless the career path they choose, and chatting to professionals working in games to hear about their roles and what more can be done to empower efforts and reduce barriers in industry!

​Lunch will be provided at the event and Digital Schoolhouse will be organising a showmatch of Splatoon 3 as part of the day for students and professionals alike to get a taste of the programme’s esports offerings.

​#RaiseTheGame will also look to livestream some talks from The 2024 Global Women in Games (WIG) 20th Anniversary Conference, so students can have a further look on what’s in store for them if they consider a career in the games industry.

​Agenda for the day:

• ​Arrival & Lunch – 12pm

  • ​Lunch (Pizza) will be provided.

  • ​A talk or two from the WIG conference may be streamed during this time if people prefer to eat and watch.

• ​Speech and Showmatch – 1pm

  • ​5 mins speech to thank everyone for coming, possibly hear from some of the people who helped make it happen, and directing people to watch the showmatch.

• ​Networking – Between 2pm to 4pm

  • ​Students and professionals alike will have a choice to continue networking, watching some livestream talks and/or play some Splatoon 3.

• ​End – 4pm
