Meet Our Course Instructors:

Dr. Muhamad Zaid Muuti

Dr. Muhamad Zaid is a distinguished medical lecturer from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) with a medical degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a master ’s degree from UiTM. He teaches medical ethics and law for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. His expertise extends to healthcare legislation through his experience with CKAPS, with specific interests in telemedicine and conscientious objection in medicine.

Dr. Hazdalila Yais Haji Razali 

She is a medical lecturer in Medical Ethics and Law at UiTM, specializing in clinical and organizational ethics. She holds degrees from the National University of Ireland and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), as well as a Diploma from FFLM, UK, and is pursuing a Bachelor of Legal Studies. With a deep grasp of medical ethics, Dr. Hazdalila has extensive experience in public hospitals and teaching institutions, emphasizing the importance of ethical considerations in medicine. Her lectures simplify intricate topics for diverse audiences.

Dr. Astrid Sinarti Hassan 

She is a Medical Lecturer at UiTM's Medical Ethics and Law Department. She holds a medical degree from the National University of Ireland and UiTM and is pursuing her PhD at the University of Liverpool, focusing on patient access to information in Malaysia using applied ethics. Her key interests are information disclosure, patient autonomy in healthcare, and reproductive ethics.

Dr. Mark Tan Kiak Min

Dr. Mark Tan Kiak Min is a lecturer at the Medical Ethics & Law Department, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). He has received certification as a Healthcare Ethics Consultant from the Healthcare Ethics Consultant certification Commission in the United States and received accreditation as a mediator from the Malaysian Mediation Center of the Bar Council. Dr. Mark is currently Chair of the Clinical Ethics Commicee and Coordinator of the Clinical Ethics ConsultaRon Service (CECS) at Hospital al -Sultan Abdullah UiTM.

Dr. Amnah Azahar

With a Medical Doctor Degree from Universiti Malaysia Sabah and a Master's in Medical Ethics from UITM, has rich experience as a Medical Officer and Reviewer for the Ministry of Health's Ethics Committee. She currently lectures at UITM, guiding future healthcare professionals.

Dr. Aimi Nadia Mohd Yusof

She heads the Department of Medical Ethics and Law at Faculty of Medicine UiTM. Holding an MD from Universiti Putra Malaysia, a Master's in Health and Medical Law from the University of Melbourne, and a DPhil from Oxford, she teaches medical ethics and law with a keen interest in healthcare autonomy.
