​✨ For the last book of this year, we chose Yellowface written by Rebecca F. Kuang, a gripping novel that explores the boundaries of identity, ambition, and cultural ownership in the literary world.

​About the Book:
Yellowface follows June Hayward, an aspiring writer who seizes the chance of a lifetime when she witnesses the tragic death of her celebrated friend and rival, Athena Liu. In a desperate act, June claims Athena's groundbreaking novel on Chinese laborers’ contributions during World War I as her own, even reinventing herself with an ambiguous persona as “Juniper Song.”
