Come join us for the in-person VR Hackathon on Sunday, January 14th 2024!
We will experiment with different filming techniques and formats in VR, try various cinematic strategies that might (or might not :) work in VR, share our own unique VR experience producing engaging and immersive content & learn different workflows from the Hackathon participants.
Be ready to create a unique VR experience, learn new and exciting techniques from peer participants, and be exposed to new ideas and that will deepen our understanding of AR and VR. Unconventional thinking by multidisciplinary teams will explore new and yet to be discovered applications in cinematic VR.
We are aiming to learn from more experienced attendees about their techniques in VR filmmaking and hoping to create new ingenious VR and AR use cases that no one has yet implemented!
A day of skill-building activities on VR filming and editing will be held on Sunday, January 14th 2024. We will feature speakers covering hardware, editing methodologies, and immersive filming concepts. On Monday, January 15th we will showcase the projects submitted by hackathon participants, culminating in an award ceremony for the top submission selected by the judging panel. AR/VR filmmakers, designers, developers, sound engineers, graphic artists, domain experts, and enthusiasts are invited to apply for the hackathon!
