Life Drawing @ Not Open; Don't Come
Join us for a relaxed non-traditional life drawing session in a speakeasy-style fine wine loft ✏️🍷
Our model will be draped in cloth and unique, more revealing garments to add an interesting twist.
The session is untutored, with gentle music and a nonjudgmental welcoming environment, ideal for artists of all skill levels. Figures & Fabric is an LGBTQIA+ and queer friendly space.
There will be a variety of seats and perspectives to choose from, grab a drawing board, pick your spot and get comfy.
Drawing materials provided, but feel free to bring your own!

18:45 PM - 7:00 PM
Gather your materials as we prepare to start drawing.
The Bar will be open and drinks can be purchased throughout the night. NO;DC has 20 wines BTG with non-alcoholic options including hot and soft drinks also available.
First Half
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Shorter poses to get warmed up with a focus on gesture, followed by poses of increasing duration.
Break
8:00 PM - 8:15 PM
15 min breather. Stand up, stretch your legs, grab some fresh air or just relax and reflect on your drawings.
Second Half
8:15 PM - 9:00 PM
We'll settle back in for some longer poses to wrap up the evening.
Guidelines and FAQ
Photographing the model is strictly prohibited
Please keep conversation to a minimum during poses and be mindful of conversational topics that may make those around you, or the model uncomfortable
Always respect the privacy of the model, avoid asking them to disclose any personal information
Do I need drawing experience?
~ No experience needed whatsoever! These sessions welcome anyone to come and relax and draw.
But drawing clothes is hard right?
~ It can be challenging but it doesn't have to be! Just have fun and let loose, you can keep things gestural or experiment. There are no rules.
