Transit Month x Petaluma Craft Beer Festival
Craving beer on a late summer day? The Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary Club of Petaluma Valley will host the annual Petaluma River Craft Beer Festival, now on its 10th year! And San Francisco Transit Riders will be on hand to take transit advocates and beer lovers to Downtown Petaluma.
The 10th annual Petaluma River Craft Beer Festival takes place Saturday afternoon, September 7, 2024, in historic downtown Petaluma where attendees can enjoy craft beer tastings from regional breweries, delicious food from Petaluma’s top restaurants and live music.
The Petaluma River Craft Beer Festival is a ticketed event, with two tiers:
Drinkers: $60, with a wristband and access to multiple breweries
Non-drinkers (designated drivers): $25
The condensed itinerary is as follows:
Board SMART train 6 (northbound) from either Larkspur station (at 11:30am) or San Rafael station (at 11:38am). Arrival times from other routes include:
Golden Gate Transit northbound Route 130 from San Francisco and Sausalito at 10:40am (from San Rafael)
Golden Gate Ferry from San Francisco at 11:10am (from Larkspur)
Golden Gate Transit northbound Route 150 from San Francisco at 11:10am (from San Rafael)
Golden Gate Transit westbound Route 580 from El Cerrito del Norte BART and Richmond at 11:19am (from San Rafael)
Golden Gate Transit northbound Route 101 from San Francisco at 11:25am (from San Rafael)
SMART train arrives Petaluma at 12:19pm, with time to walk around and orient ourselves with the surroundings and the event.
The event runs from 1 to 5pm around Downtown Petaluma. Make sure you stay connected with Anthony via phone or text (phone number provided below) if you want to leave the event earlier than 5pm.
Post-event, you have the following options from Petaluma Downtown SMART and Copeland Street Transit Mall:
SMART southbound leaves Petaluma Downtown station at 4:59pm and 6:37pm. The 4:59pm departure has a Golden Gate Ferry connection at Larkspur, with the boat for San Francisco leaving at 6:05pm. The 6:37pm trip will get to San Rafael station at 7:12pm, with onward connections to Golden Gate Transit Routes 101, 130, and 580 available at San Rafael Transit Center.
Golden Gate Transit buses leave Copeland Street Transit Mall every hour at around :42 to :45 past the hour, with post-event trips leaving at 5:42pm, 6:42pm, and hourly from 7:45pm to 10:45pm.
