About Event

This event will be a portfolio review (feat. hot portfolio tips) followed by a Q&A about working as designers in industry. Everyone is welcome, not limited to portfolio campfire participants!

Congratulations on finishing your Portfolio Campfire journey! To end off these incredible 14 days, we've invited a few industry eyes to give their feedback on your work. After all, you must be tired of hearing from just us.

Due to the scale of the cohort, portfolios being critiqued will be randomly selected through signing up here by filling out the portfolio field when you RSVP

Please note, there will only be a handful of portfolios critiqued during our final campfire. However we recommend that you stay for the checkin and apply any feedback to your own portfolio.

10 minute Q&A will be welcome at the end of the critique.

🐰 About our speakers

Hanna Xu - Senior Product Designer

Hanna is a senior product designer currently working at a large tech company. Previously, she's worked at a number of early stage startups. She led design at Gfycat, a GIF company popular on Reddit. She co-founded and design her own iOS and Android messaging application which was featured on Techcrunch and one of Apple's "Best New Apps."

Yichen He - Product Designer

Yichen is a product designer with a business background based out of Toronto. Specializing in design of complex enterprise IT solutions, she also has a tiny bit of experience in edtech startups, finance and AI. She likes to doodle D&D characters and has an adorable chubby tuxedo cat.

Grace Ling - Designer, Illustrator, Founder

Grace is a designer, community builder, artist, runner, speaker, and content creator. By day, she is a Designer at Electronic Arts. By night, she is the Founder & Design Lead of the Design Buddies community. Outside of design and community building, Grace creates content for social media and her blog to help students, designers, and community builders with a total following of 40K+. In the past, she designed and developed virtual reality games to train surgeons and to make education fun. She also studied bioengineering and computer science engineering in college before making her way into design.
