​​Welcome to the second meeting of The Podcast Book Club™!

​Episode to discuss: Dwarkesh's recent podcast with Leopold Aschenbrenner

​As a reminder, here’s how The Podcast Book Club™ generally works:

​​1) We pick a podcast- most of them will be directly related to topics like venture capital, recent scientific breakthroughs, history, and business generally. Some examples of podcasts we may cover- Sheldon Solomon, Parker Conrad, Xi Jinping's Legacy, Do Technological Innovations Yield Net Gain?, etc.

​​2) You listen to the podcast. (Important step!)

​​3) Once a month, we come together with free food and drinks to chat about the podcast and any related topics.

​​4) Every once in a while (probably 25-50% of the time), I’ll get an expert / host to come and join the discussion of the podcast.

​​Why opt for podcasts over books? The most important aspects of modern discourse increasingly center on rapidly shifting topics, and podcasts are uniquely able to keep up with this trend. Additionally, it's common knowledge that most book club members don't actually engage with the assigned material, and podcasts should be a lighter lift.

​​Who should come? We'll be mostly founders and venture capitalists, but absolutely anybody doing interesting things in the world- just fill out the short form to apply.
