About Event

Join us for a fireside chat and breakout discussion on the best (and worst) practices on Developer Productivity. We'll be featuring:

  • Kathryn Koehler, Director of Productivity Engineering at Netflix

  • Mitali Parthasarathy, Director of Engineering (Eng Effectiveness) at Yelp

  • Eddie Flaisler, CEO at Sagittarius Labs, prev. VP of Engineering at Lob

After a fireside chat, we'll break out into roundtable discussions and exchange wisdom on how to successfully implement developer productivity initiatives.

Note: to keep a high bar for conversation quality, this is an invite only event.

About our panelists

Kathryn Koehler is the Director of Productivity Engineering at Netflix. Her teams focus on the development environment and associated experiences, which enable and empower developers at Netflix to bootstrap, code, build, test, debug, and maintain software more effectively and efficiently. Before Netflix, she was the VP of Engineering for the Science Initiative at Chan Zuckerberg (CZI), where her teams built applications, tools, and platforms for biomedical researchers to accelerate scientific discovery. She has worked in various areas, including productivity, entertainment, gaming, automotive, and finance.

Mitali Parthasarathy is an engineering leader with over a decade of experience in backend infrastructure. She started her career building software for Cisco routers, and then moved on to PayPal to build tooling to manage their Cloud Infrastructure. For the last 5 years, she has been working on developer productivity tooling at Yelp. She currently leads the Backend Platform group within the Engineering Effectiveness organization.

Eddie Flaisler is the founder and CEO of Sagittarius Labs, a software company focused on enhancing effectiveness in engineering leadership. Among his numerous management roles, Eddie has led global engineering at Lob.com, Enterprise Engineering at Box, and Financial Security Engineering at Uber. He’s also the co-creator of the People-Driven Development podcast. Eddie lives in Oakland, CA, with his husband and their pug, whom he’s convinced he personally carried to term.

Hosted by Quotient, a DevTool that discovers, prioritizes, and resolves the friction slowing down engineering teams.
