Praying Scientists - Morning Catholic Mass at #JPM25 Week - all faith backgrounds welcome!
Are you in the biotech world and a person of faith? Going to JPM25? Let's meet up for:
1. Personal prayer (Catholic Mass service) at 7:00am at Eglise Notre Dame des Victoires
2. Very casual meet and greets on the sidewalk after the service in front of the church.
FAQs:
What is The Praying Scientists Project?
We seek to connect scientists (including biotech entrepreneurs and investors) who are also people of faith through prayer and networking opportunities.
Is the The Praying Scientists Project a Christian project?
The project arranges activities in the Christian tradition, and participants of any faith background are welcome!
The event at #JPM25 Week is a Catholic Mass. What if I'm not Catholic?
As a non-Catholic visitor, you can do as much as Catholics do in the pews with the exception of receiving Communion. If you wish, you can participate in reflective prayers and in the gestures (make the sign of the cross, kneel, stand, etc) to the extent they feel comfortable doing so. Sitting quietly with your own prayer and reflection is welcome too.
What else is Praying Scientists planning?
The Praying Scientists Project is also planning a virtual prayer group meet-up in February. Please check out our website at www.prayingscientists.com to sign up on the interest form.
