​Dr. Laurent Balmelli is Co-founder of Strong Network, a Swiss company providing a Cloud Development Environment (CDE) platform that speeds up application delivery productivity, reduces IT costs, and protects organizations’ intellectual property against data leaks. Passionate about technological innovation and DevOps and DevSecOps best practices, he focuses today on the creation of security-oriented functions that foster user productivity. He has been leading the design of Cloud-based applications across multiple companies, including Strong Network, Snapchat, and IBM. After earning his PhD from EPFL in Switzerland, he worked for over ten years at the IBM Research Division in New York and Tokyo before moving back to Switzerland. He has over ten patents filed in the US and Europe.
