Workshop: How to create a robust business case for building or buying a developer tool
When building or buying developer tools we need financial justification. This workshop covers two critical questions: what are the pain point costs? What is the solution return on investment (ROI)?
When introducing a developer tool, clear financial justification is essential. In this session we cover how to answer the two most critical questions: what is the cost of your pain point? What is your solution’s return on investment (ROI)? At the end of this hands-on session, you will leave with a draft business case for a developer tool that demonstrates ROI. We’ll lean on a real-world example of creating a business case for cloud development environments as our template to apply to all other developer tools, sharing best practices and pitfalls to avoid.
