Prototyping with AI for Startup Operators
A low-pressure space to build your first AI-powered tool.
We’re gathering a small group of startup operators for an afternoon of creative problem-solving, using AI and no-code tools to build something real and relevant to your day-to-day work.
Here’s the kind of thing you might build during the session:
Automate entire follow-up loops after team meetings or events, where AI not only summarises key takeaways, but triggers updates, nudges stakeholders, and logs next steps across tools.
Build live internal tools that track momentum (from hiring pipelines to partnership outreach), giving teams real-time visibility into what’s moving and where things are stuck.
Prototype new features or services end-to-end: by spinning up a working interface, simulating flows (like onboarding or upsell journeys), and collecting early signals from users or internal teams before involving engineering.
Streamline team reporting and coordination: by building systems that pull updates from multiple sources, structure the content, and auto-share with the right people on schedule.
Explore customer support tools to help route feedback, surface answers faster, or triage inquiries automatically.
You don’t need to be technical — just someone who sees problems and wants to get hands-on with ways to solve them.
You’ll leave with:
A working prototype: either an automation, a lightweight tool, or a testable interface
A clearer sense of how to scope and ship quick wins
Feedback from peers tackling similar challenges
A few practical tricks you’ll want to use again
Something you can use or share the next day
It’s okay to show up with a half-formed idea. We'll leave some time at the start of the session for quick ideation and scoping exercises.
The Agenda
The session will open with a short talk on how operators are building practical AI workflows.
Then we’ll split into focused breakout tracks, each designed around a specific outcome or problem space.
Each breakout will include guidance, peer collaboration, and time to prototype something tangible.
Who it’s for:
Operators working in Product, Ops, Strategy, Growth, or internal enablement roles, especially those who juggle cross-functional workflows and like to build before asking for help.
How to sign up:
We’re keeping this small, so spots are limited.
Sign up here on Luma to express interest and pick which breakout topic you’re most interested in exploring.
You will receive a follow-up email with RSVP and payment details for the session (5,000 KES).
✨ We also have a few fully-covered slots available, thanks to support from partners and alumni. Just let us know if cost is a blocker.
If you’re curious, definitely come through! We’d love to have you in the room.
