About Event

Many of us struggle with burnout and wrestle with profound feelings of climate anxiety. This panel discussion is for anyone looking for deeper engagement, thoughtful reflection, and purposeful living in an era of climate chaos.

We'll have climate leaders in our community from a variety of perspectives, including BIPOC, academia and spiritual viewpoints all united in our vision for a healthy, sustainable planet.

Our AMAZING panel leaders include:

Philip Saunders: Philip Saunders is a military veteran, and the CEO/Founder of POCIGS, an organization of color-focused, driven environmental justice consultants, workforce development trainers, government relation agents, planners, and outreach specialists.

Erik Weiberg: Recently retired Lutheran Pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, has served congregations in Minnesota, Idaho, and Washington and holds a Master’s of Divinity PhD of Ministry in Biblical Preaching from Luther Seminary.

Loni Grinnell-Greninger: Loni is the Vice Chairwoman of the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe (located in Sequim, WA), as well as the Culture Director. She spends time with local to federal representatives to advocate for tribal sovereignty, culture, treaty rights and natural resources, social and health services, and all aspects that touch tribal governance.

Suzanne Crawford O'Brien: Suzanne is professor of Religion and Culture and affiliated faculty in Native American and Indigenous Studies and Environmental Studies at Pacific Lutheran University. She's the author of Hope is a Ceremony: Transforming Climate Grief (Bloomsbury, 2026), Religion and Culture in Native America (Bloomsbury, 2020), and Coming Full Circle: Spirituality and Wellness Among Native Communities in the Pacific Northwest (University of Nebraska, 2014).

Jamal Rahman: Imam Jamal Rahman is a beloved teacher and retreat leader whose passion for helping people deepen their spiritual lives and cultivate interfaith understanding has inspired audiences throughout the world. He has been featured in the New York Times, on CBS News, the BBC and many NPR programs. He is co - founder and Muslim Sufi minister at Interfaith Community Sanctuary, adjunct faculty at Seattle University, and a former host of Interfaith Talk Radio.

This is a great event for peoples of ALL backgrounds that are looking for inspiration and meaningful discussion with actions!
