The Art of Snail Mail
We're bringing back.... paper. Join us in the studio this September for an evening of crafting snail mail <3
We'll kick off with a letter writing workshop guided by Charlee Dyroff, before we get lost in the stationary, decorating our letters and envelopes with stamps, stickers & paper goods galore.
Fill your letter with a little lavender, seal it, stamp it, and we'll make sure it gets to your grandma/lover/long distance bff/pen pal !
If you’re anything like us and want to live a life filled to the brim with creativity— we have space for you at our long, communal (naturally, handmade in brooklyn:) art/craft table.
As with all RecCreate events, you can expect to go on this journey with a room full of lovely strangers. We’ll offer opportunities for connection throughout our time— encouraging the spirit of the collective. It is (so) much more fun to get to create together. Come alone or with a friend, either way we hope you’ll leave with a new one!
The tunes will be bumping, and we often have drink sponsors who make sure you have something fun to sip on. All materials included<3
Charlee Dyroff is the author of the novel Loneliness & Company, a debut novel about seeking true friendship in the digital age. She has an MFA from Columbia University where she also taught undergraduate writing. Originally from Colorado, she currently lives in Brooklyn where she loves to read, write, craft, and meet new people.
Cancelation Policy
Unfortunately for this event tickets are non-refundable/exchange-able! Please double check your calendar. In the event you are no longer able to make it, you are welcome to give your ticket to a friend or swap it on our ticket swap board. Just tell them to use your name!

Though we do our best to keep all photography / video to a minimum, please note all guests who attend consent to being photographed and videoed which may be used for marketing or promotional purposes at the discretion of RecCreate Collective.
Age Restriction & Dogs
All guests must be 18+ to attend and though we love your pups, unfortunately cannot have them in the studio!
