Workshop 4: Planning and Targeting

​This is the last workshop of the Brave Starts programme we cover off how you need to think differently in a recruitment world not designed the for longer lives we are now leading.

• ​We'll go over new ways of thinking and how you need to challenge some of your own misconceptions

• ​We'll explore which jobs boards are a help (or a hindrance)

• ​We'll go over strategies to help you target your actions more constructively

• ​Where we can, we'll encourage and facilitate introductions to other members and experts who can support you to develop your knowledge and contacts in sectors you're looking for in terms of additional support

​Whilst this concludes the programme, it is part of much wider picture. We have other workshops to focus on specific interests and skills (such as starting a business, interview technique, a LinkedIn masterclass).

​The intention is you then come every other month to a monthly member meeting to update and get further coaching on your progress.

​The standard text we share on all our workshops:

• ​​Our sessions are small and interactive.

• ​​We contract around confidentiality as many of our members work full time.

• ​​To enable free flowing discussion, we do not record sessions.

• ​​The majority of our members work in professional roles, mums who've taken career breaks, people who are bored and want a change, people who've retired and want to go back to work, people over 45 looking for work but who feel frustrated.
