​　「子どもに幸せになってほしい」-そう願わない親はいません。でも、その“幸せ”ってなんだろう？ そして、それを子どもに渡すために、まず親である“自分自身”はどう在ればいいんだろう？

今回のJWIBA Meetupでは、
　「自分自身が幸せであること」
　「子どもが自分で幸せを感じられるようになる子育て」
この2つをテーマに、参加者の皆さんと一緒に考えていきます。

​　講師にお迎えするのは、シリコンバレーの人気バイリンガル幼稚園「Sora International Preschool」の創立者であり、教育書ベストセラー『シリコンバレー式 世界一の子育て』著者、中内玲子先生。

​　モンテッソーリとレッジョ・エミリアのアプローチを融合させた独自のバランス教育を基盤に、子どもが「自分で考え、自分で選び、自分で幸せを感じられる力」を育むことを大切にしてきた玲子先生が、これまでプロフェッショナルな教育者として活動してきたご自身の経験をもとに、その実践から見えてきた「親自身が満たされること」と「子どもの幸せの関係」について、やさしく・深くお話ししていただきます。

​　子育て中の方はもちろん、プレママ・プレパパの方、保育・教育に関わる方、性別を問わずどなたでもご参加いただけます。日々の中で、自分の「しあわせ」について立ち止まって考えてみたい方も、ぜひお気軽にどうぞ。

​中内 玲子（なかうち・れいこ）先生
Founder of Sora International School, Educator and Bestselling Author

　台湾生まれ、日本育ち、アメリカ在住のトリリンガル（日・英・中）。グーグルなどシリコンバレーの企業に勤める親たちから支持される、日英バイリンガル幼稚園「Sora International Preschool」の創立者。

​　国際的なAMIモンテッソーリ資格に加え、日本の幼稚園教諭・保育士免許も取得。カリフォルニア州に3校、日本・つくば市に1校のプリスクールを経営し、グローバル教育の発信を広げている。最先端企業が集まるシリコンバレーの視点をもとに、「自分の才能を伸ばし、国際社会で羽ばたける子」を育てる実践法を提唱しながら、教育事業のコンサルタントとしても活動。世界中の教育者が思いやアイデアをシェアできる場をつくるため、教育現場の取材にも精力的に取り組んでいる。

​We are pleased to invite you to the 3rd JWIBA Meetup✨

​All parents share a common wish: for their children to be happy. However, what does “happiness” truly mean? And how can we, as parents, nurture that happiness within ourselves in order to pass it on to the next generation?

​In this session, we will reflect on two key themes: 　
– How parents can find fulfillment and happiness in their own lives 　
– How to raise children who can recognize and create their own happiness

We are honored to welcome Ms. Reiko Nakauchi, founder of Sora international Preschool, a well- regarded bilingual preschool in Silicon Valley, and author of the bestselling book “The Silicon Valley Style: The World’s Best Parenting”.

Drawing from her years of experience as a professional educator, Ms. Reiko will share her insights on the deep connection between a parent’s well-being and a child’s happiness. Her unique educational approach—combining Montessori and Reggio Emilia methodologies—focuses on nurturing children's ability to think independently, make their own choices, and discover happiness from within.

Speaker Introduction

​Reiko Nakauchi
Founder of Sora International School, Educator and Bestselling Author

Reiko Nakauchi is a trilingual educator (Japanese, English, Mandarin), born in Taiwan, raised in Japan, and currently residing in the United States. She is the founder of Sora International Preschool, a Japanese-English bilingual preschool highly regarded by parents working at top Silicon Valley companies such as Google.

​In addition to holding the internationally recognized AMI Montessori certification, Ms. Reiko also holds official licenses as both a kindergarten teacher and childcare provider in Japan. She currently operates three preschools in California and one in Tsukuba City, Japan, expanding access to high-quality global education.

​Drawing on her perspective from the heart of Silicon Valley—home to some of the world’s most innovative companies—Ms. Reiko advocates for educational practices that help children identify their unique talents and thrive in a global society. Alongside running her schools, she also works as an education consultant and actively engages in field research to create spaces where educators around the world can share insights and ideas.

​Her book, The Silicon Valley Style: The World’s Best Parenting (Floral Publishing, October 2020), became a bestseller, ranking No.1 in three categories on Amazon Japan’s Education list.
