MORE INFORMATION :

WHY THIS WORKSHOP?

The climatic events of recent years, such as the low water levels in the Rhine (2018) or the floods in the Valencia region (2024), undeniably show that climate change is a reality. These climatic hazards have an enormous impact on the economic activities and infrastructures we rely on, on the agriculture that feeds us and on our health.

According to the recent Global Risks Perception Survey1, the likely impact of extreme weather events is global leaders’ most significant source of concern over a 10-year horizon. Therefore, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions remains necessary, organizations must also and adapt to increase their resilience to climate change.

The Climate Change Adaptation Workshop will enable you to :

  • Distinguish between climate change adaptation and mitigation

  • Understand the need for a climate change adaptation process

  • Identify the components of climate risks

  • Evaluate the vulnerability of operations throughout your value chain

  • Choose between different adaptation options and avoid maladaptation

After the workshop, participants will have a more in-depth understanding of the risks associated with climate change. They will also have learned and experienced a method for making the best choices in terms of adaptation and embark on the path of transformational adaptation.
