In this session, Jem Stein, founder of Daring Capital & The Bike Project, will be interviewed by Ann-Marie Kinlock, founder of KindHaus. They will dive into the joys and the complexities of founding and growing an impact-led organisation. They’ll discuss Jem’s unique route wih 10 years as founder of The Bike Project to heading up a group of angel impact investors in his latest venture, and Ann-Marie offering her perspective as new social founder, and one of the founders that Daring Capital has invested in.

Engage with our speakers and fellow social founders, and gain practical advice and guidance in an open, honest, and confidential environment.

This interactive session will offer:

  • Insightful stories from a seasoned social founder and leader.

  • Practical lessons and tips you can apply to your own journey.

  • Space for honest conversations with fellow social founders who understand the unique challenges you face.

This event is for social founders only - founders of social enterprises, charities, CICs and social impact organisations.

Speakers:

Jem Stein, Founder & CEO,Daring Capital & The Bike Project Jem is the Founder and CEO of Daring Capital, who invest in extraordinary, under-represented founders building companies that make the world a better place.

Prior to Daring Capital, Jem Stein was the Founder and CEO of The Bike Project, a social enterprise that provides bikes to refugees across England. Under Jem's leadership, the organisation scaled to £2.5 million ARR and received numerous accolades, including Social Entrepreneur of the Year and the EU Social Innovation Prize.

In addition to raising social investment for The Bike Project, Jem serves on the social investment committees of two prominent charitable trusts.

Ann-Marie Kinlock, Founder, KindHaus
Ann-Marie Kinlock is the founder of KindHaus, an “oasis” on the high street for modern parents - blending flexible childcare with workspace and much needed community.

After having her son, Ann-Marie faced huge barriers trying to get back to work, the lack of flexible, affordable childcare provision being one of them.

With a background in User Experience Design and a passion for supporting parents, Ann-Marie deployed her skills to create something she wished existed as a new mum - KindHaus.

They have recently raised investment from Daring Capital to launch a new site in Hackney, North East London, that provides new parents with access to affordable, flexible childcare - and desk space, all under one roof.
