About Event

The first pilates movement series designed to sync up your mindful drinking and overall health goals.

Whether you want to change your drinking habits to benefit your gut health, reduce stress and anxiety, or balance your hormones, bringing your workout routine into alignment with your goals is one of the easiest ways to amplify your progress. 

For this special Sober October series, Seek has partnered with San Diego-based Mat Pilates Instructor, Cara Loozis. Cara has designed 3 unique class formats that are rooted in different mindful drinking intentions – Power, Center and Flow.

POWER PILATES

Think high-intensity, high adrenaline. If you’re someone who drinks to socialize or have fun, whether it’s going to a concert or watching fall sports, this class is for you. Cara will walk us through the science behind how this workout can facilitate the same dopamine rush as a few drinks. She’ll also call out movements that are proven to support specific health goals you may be working toward in your Seek plan (e.g., heart health, mental health, gut microbiome).

CENTER PILATES

This class is all about coming back to your body. If you’re someone who drinks to unwind at the end of a long day or you feel like your schedule is so busy that you never have time with yourself, this class is your space to just be. Cara will walk us through a movement series targeting specific health goals you may be working toward in your Seek plan (e.g., sleep, brain health, fertility or menopause). 

FLOW PILATES

When it comes to mindful drinking, there are few things better than flowing it out. If you’re early on in your mindful drinking plan or recently had a few more glasses of wine than anticipated, this class is packed with movements that will detox your body naturally. Cara will call out specific postures with powerful detox properties and other health benefits you may be working toward in your Seek plan (e.g., liver health, skin health, gut microbiome). 

If you’re working toward a specific mindful drinking or health goal in your Seek plan, you can let Cara know before class using this form.

*After every class, we’ll share a recap of the movements, mindful drinking and health goals Cara focused on so you can incorporate them into other workouts. 

About Cara Loozis

Cara Loozis is a Mat Pilates instructor in San Diego, California. With a passion for fitness and a deep understanding of the mind-body connection, Cara prioritizes the strength of the mind as a tool to push the body to new limits. Cara's classes create a space where people grow to trust the power of their own bodies, learn to be kinder to themselves & heighten the understanding of the connection between physical and mental strength.
