🦸Super Powers

Hi There,

Everyone has their own “superpowers” for certain things in their life. Some people can easily see financial issues/opportunities or ways to optimize operations and processes.  In fact, many of you as founders created a product/service that was an obvious opportunity/need. For me? I have the superpower of community building. I love bringing people together for a bigger purpose. This past week, I created a women’s referral circle in order to help create referrals for all businesses to thrive. How often do you see folks looking for resources in founders' groups? Why these answers aren’t in one place, is beyond me. This week over 30 founders (90% of whom I’m meeting for the first time) signed up! Feel free to add yourself on here as well, or reach out to any of these resources you may be looking for; and of course, please share with other founders and colleagues to add themselves. “Community” is the answer to the question that everyone seems to have.

Consumers usually don’t want to talk about your brand/product per se, but they will talk about the problem you are solving or some challenge they are having to feel less alone in their struggles. To that end, the community can be a powerful outlet for your business based on your product. A few questions to ask yourself to see if community marketing makes sense for you:

  • Do you solve a challenge people talk about/rally around (breastfeeding, makeup, disabilities, exercise etc)?

  • Will you (or someone) engage with folks daily? In other words, will you spark conversation, create content, and grow the dialogue?

  • Are you looking to talk to your customer easily and get input?

If community building makes sense for you, then sign up for the 10/27 Community Building 101 webinar.

 Client Highlights:

This week I’m excited to share the success of Milkdrop Pumps. They are an Australian brand that launched here in the USA. By building out the marketing strategy, we realized that there were limited resources and support out there for pumping women (lots more for breast direct). We knew moms were engaged in FB groups and decided to create a community called Comfortably Pumping to answer pumping questions, and enhanced our understanding of what content our audience wanted to see by monitoring their questions.

Do you know someone who’s pumping, or will start pumping soon?

Problems -> Plan

Many founders are really good at following directions but aren’t really sure which/what directions to follow, or even where to go with their marketing. If you would like to ideate around a specific marketing issue you are having and walk away with some direction, then sign up for an ideation session today.
