[Metagrove] Venture Scout Program

Today, we'd like to announce that we are formally opening our Venture Scout program — please click on the link to learn more about our criteria.
For the past year, we have engaged with our mentors, advisors, and core team to figure out how to best source amazing founders and companies into our network. We believe that the best products and services are hidden out of plain sight, and right now, someone located somewhere is building something that will change the world.
The scout program was designed to flesh out great companies for exactly this reason, through its community and network.
Why a Scout program?
The intent of the Scout program is to provide all of our community members the ability to get engaged with deal sourcing and origination. The great thing about Metagrove is that we are community-driven. Because of this, it has enabled us to create a well-rounded group of founders, operators, mentors, and investors from Sydney to San Francisco and beyond. As such, we understand the power of community at scale and want to make sure each of you can play a part in helping us reach founders who may be underrepresented or simply do not have the network and resources around them to get noticed.
Who's Eligible?
Right now we are only making this available to the internal Metagrove community. This is invite-only and only eligible for existing mentors, investors, and founders. Eventually, we will make this available to a larger amount of people, but want to maintain a high caliber of members at the same time.
The Benefits
All eligible scouts are eligible to receive 20% of the fund's carried interest on a per-deal basis. Additionally, you get to build your own portfolio and have bragging rights too!
How does it work?
Click on the link below to sign up as a scout. There is no obligation to be a scout, but if you feel that you have a good network around you, we encourage you to join!
Once we get you into our database, we'll create and provide a personalized referral code (TBD) for each scout. This way we can track and associate scouts with the companies referred to us.
The link will be assigned to a questionnaire that you (Scout) must fill out on the founder/company and your assessment of them. We do this to ensure we develop a strong top-of-the-funnel filter.
We then engage with the founders, and if we back them, then we'll register your name with that company for posterity and record-keeping purposes. You'll be notified when this happens by email.
We're finally excited to see this come to life and can't wait to work with all of you and back the next generation of companies and leaders.
