Recap of Past Events
At the end of January we co-hosted a Vancouver DWeb Social with the Internet Archive of Canada. Our speakers were Fissioneer Blaine Cook, who gave a presentation on the Fediverse, and Claire Atkins from Check My Ads, who shared her company's work on fighting disinformation in advertising.
Recordings of both presentations are now available on the Fission blog.
Next Week's Events
On Monday February 13th we are hosting our monthly virtual Distributed Systems Reading Group. The paper we'll be discussing is Distributed Reset (1990, FSTTCS) by Arora and Gouda.
Then on Wednesday February 15th the Vancouver DWeb community is hosting a networking event. Fission is not hosting this one, but we'll be in attendance!
Have a great weekend!
